Hood Hold-Open Rod Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Warning .





1. Raise and support the hood.
2. Remove the bolt (1) retaining the hood support rod (2) to the vehicle.
3. Remove the support rod (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the support rod (2) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

2. Install the bolt (1) in order to retain the hood support rod to the vehicle and tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb in).
3. Remove the alternate support.
4. Close the hood.
