Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (V6)

Removal Procedures
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the left headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement Headlamp Replacement.
3. Remove the evaporator outlet hose from the air conditioning compressor hose. Refer to Evaporator Outlet Hose Replacement Evaporator Outlet Hose Replacement
4. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) from the electronic control module bracket.
5. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose (2) from the electronic control module bracket.
6. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) from the condenser.
7. Remove the compressor hose (2) from the condenser.
8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor valve.
10. Remove the compressor hose nut (1) at the compressor.
11. Remove the compressor hose (2) from the compressor.
12. Remove the compressor hose from the vehicle.
13. Remove and discard the sealing washers from the compressor hose. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement.
Installation Procedure
1. Install new seal washers to the compressor hose. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement.
2. Install the compressor hose (2) to the compressor.
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
3. Install the compressor hose nut (1) to the compressor and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
4. Connect the electrical connector to the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor valve.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the compressor hose (2) to the condenser.
7. Install the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) to the condenser and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
8. Install the air conditioning compressor hose (2) to the electronic control module bracket.
9. Install the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) to the electronic control module bracket. and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).
10. Install the evaporator outlet hose to the air conditioning compressor hose. Refer to Evaporator Outlet Hose Replacement Evaporator Outlet Hose Replacement
11. Install the left headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement Headlamp Replacement.
12. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
13. Test the affected A/C joints for leaks J 39400-A - Halogen Leak Detector.
