Camshaft Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement

2. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement Service and Repair.





3. Remove the rear lift bracket bolt (1) and bracket (2).

4. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement.

5. Remove the PCV hose.





6. Remove the camshaft cover bolts (1).





7. Remove the camshaft cover (1) and gasket (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install a NEW camshaft cover gasket (2).

2. Install the camshaft cover (1).





3. Install the camshaft cover bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the PCV hose

5. Install the evaporative emission canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement.





6. Install the rear lift bracket (2) and tighten the bolt (1) to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

7. Install the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement Service and Repair.

8. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
