Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front bumper fascia extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement).
3. Loosen the charge air cooler inlet pipe clamp (1).
4. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe (2) from the charge air cooler (3).




5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Loosen the charge air cooler clamp (1).
7. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe (2) and release the pipe retaining grommet from the engine bracket.
8. Remove the pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Note: Remove any oil film from inside the pipes.

1. Attach the pipe retaining grommet to the engine bracket.
2. Install the charge air cooler pipe (2) and tighten the charge air cooler inlet pipe clamp.




3. Raise the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe (2) to the charge air cooler (3).

Tighten the clamp to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

4. Install the front bumper fascia extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement).
