Exhaust Pipe Replacement - Right Side (6.6L (LMM))

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the turbocharger exhaust pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LMM) (Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement) Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LGH) (Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement).
2. Remove the exhaust right pipe bolts and nuts in the proper sequence.




3. Remove the right exhaust pipe, bracket and gaskets.
4. Discard the gaskets.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the right exhaust pipe with a NEW gasket to the turbocharger. Align the tab on the gasket at the turbocharger to face inward.
2. Loosely install the bolts and nuts.
3. Position the right exhaust pipe with a NEW gasket to the exhaust manifold. Align the tab on the gasket to face outward.
4. Loosely install the bolts and nuts.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Tighten the right exhaust pipe bolts and nuts in the proper sequence to 53 Nm (39 lb ft).
6. Install the turbocharger exhaust pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LMM) (Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement) Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LGH) (Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement).
