Hood Hold-Open Rod Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the hood. Use an alternate rod in order to support the hood.
2. Remove the bolt (1) retaining the hood support rod (2) to the vehicle.
3. Remove the support rod (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the support rod (2) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolt (1) in order to retain the hood support rod to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

3. Remove the alternate support.
4. Close the hood.
