1. Transmission Fluid Draining




Transmission Fluid Draining

Tools Required

DT 46475 (DW260-070) Auto Transaxle Oil Plug Remover/Installer

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice Vehicle Damage Warnings.
2. Place a fluid container below the fluid level plug.

Caution: When the transmission is at operating temperatures, take necessary precautions when removing the check/fill plug, to avoid being burned by draining fluid.

3. Using DT 46475 (1) remove the fluid drain plug.
4. Allow the transaxle fluid to drain.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

1. Use the DT 46475 (1) to install the transaxle fluid drain plug.

Tighten the drain plug to 45 Nm (33 lb ft).




2. Add the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection Transmission Fluid Level Inspection.
