Wiper Motor Replacement - Rear (Five Door)

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Five Door) Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Five Door)Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Wagon) Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Wagon).
3. Remove the lower garnish molding from the hatchback door.
4. Remove the bolts and the rear wiper motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the electrical connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the wiper motor with the bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the lower garnish molding to the hatchback door.
4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Five Door) Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Five Door)Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Wagon) Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (Wagon).
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
