Splash Guard: Service and Repair

Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution Vehicle Lifting Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair in General Information.
2. Remove the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the front mud guard. Refer to Guard Mud - Rear (One or Both) Replacement Service and Repair in Exterior Trim.
4. Remove the screws and the front wheel well splash shield.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the screws and the front wheel well splash shield.

Tighten the front wheel well splash shield screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

2. Install the front mud guard. Refer to Guard Mud - Rear (One or Both) Replacement Service and Repair in Exterior Trim.
3. Install the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair in Tires and Wheels.
4. Lower the vehicle.
