Power Steering Pump Replacement
Power Steering Pump Replacement (V6)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
2. Remove the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement).
3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
4. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.
6. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
7. Remove the power steering bracket to the engine mounting bolts (1, 2, and 3).
8. Remove the power steering pump with bracket from the vehicle.
9. Remove the power steering pump bracket from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement (V6) (Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pump to the power steering pump bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement (V6) (Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement).
2. Install the power steering pump with bracket to the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
3. Install the power steering pump bracket to the engine mounting bolts (1-3) and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
4. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
5. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
6. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
7. Install the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement).
8. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
10. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
