Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Intake (LP1, LY7)

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.

Note: Do not disconnect the power steering fluid lines/hoses from the reservoir.

2. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bolts and reposition the power steering fluid reservoir in order to provide access. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (V6) (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) actuator valve electrical connector.




4. Remove the CMP actuator valve bolt.
5. Remove the CMP actuator valve.
6. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage and replace as necessary.

Installation Procedure

1. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.




2. Install the CMP actuator valve.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the CMP actuator valve bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the CMP actuator valve electrical connector.
5. Install the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (V6) (Service and Repair).
