Steering Column Lock Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement).




2. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the steering column module (1).
3. Loosen the retaining screw on the steering column control module. Slide the control module out of the retaining bracket.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the control module (1) to the steering column and tighten the retaining screw.

Tighten screw to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connectors on the steering column control module.
3. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement).
