Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Note the cable routing for cable replacement.




1. Remove the cruise control cable from the retainer (1) at the left strut tower.




2. Disconnect the cruise control cable retainer (1) from the throttle body cam.
3. Disconnect the cruise control cable retainer (3) from the throttle body bracket.




4. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the cruise control module (1). Turn the cable lock (3) until the cable disengages from the module (1).
5. Release the cable (2) from the connector (4) on the module cord.
6. Remove the cruise control cable.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The nylon cord from the module must be flat. The cord must not be twisted.




1. Connect the cruise control cable (2) to the cruise control module cord connector (4).
2. Seat the cable end (3) into the module (1). Turn the cable until the cable is locked to the module (1).




3. Connect the cruise control cable retainer (3) to the throttle body bracket.
4. Connect the cruise control cable retainer (1) to the throttle body cam.




5. Install the cruise control cable to the retainer (1) on the left strut tower.
6. Adjust the cruise control cable. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Adjustment. Adjustments
