Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement




Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement Engine Sight Shield Replacement.

3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.




4. Remove and DISCARD the clamp (1).

5. Separate the charge air cooler outlet hose (2) from the charge air cooler outlet pipe CAC side (3).




6. Disconnect the ECM wiring harness plug (4).

7. Disconnect the vacuum hose (3) from the charge air cooler outlet hose (5).

8. Unlock the charge air cooler outlet hose (2) connector in direction of the arrow.

9. Remove the charge air cooler outlet hose (5) from the throttle body (1).




10. Remove the charge air cooler outlet hose (2) from the charge air cooler (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the charge air cooler outlet hose (2) to the charge air cooler (1).

Note: Do not rely on the audible click to confirm a secure connection has been made.

2. Check the correct connection of charge air cooler outlet hose (2) and the charge air cooler (1).




3. Install the charge air cooler outlet hose (5) to the throttle body (1).

4. The charge air cooler outlet hose connector (2) should lock automatically.

Note: Do not rely on the audible click to confirm a secure connection has been made.

5. Check the correct connection of charge air cooler outlet hose (5) and the throttle body (1).

6. Connect the ECM wiring harness plug (3).

7. Connect the vacuum hose (3) to the charge air cooler outlet hose (5).




8. Preinstall a NEW clamp (1).

9. Connect the charge air cooler outlet hose (2) to the charge air cooler outlet pipe CAC side (3).

10. Tighten the clamp (1).

11. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.

12. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement Engine Sight Shield Replacement.

13. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
