Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (Charge Air Cooler)
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
Note: Mechanical violence is not necessary for a successful disconnection/connection.
2. Release the clamp (2).
3. Separate the charge air cooler inlet pipe - turbo side (1) from the charge air cooler inlet pipe CAC side (3).
4. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Release the clamp (3).
6. Separate the charge air cooler inlet hose (2) from the charge air cooler (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the charge air cooler inlet hose (2) to the charge air cooler (1).
Note: Do not rely on the audible click to confirm a secure connection has been made.
2. Check the correct connection of charge air cooler (1) and charge air cooler inlet hose (2).
3. The clamp (3) must engage safely.
4. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Connect the charge air cooler inlet pipe - turbo side (1) with the charge air cooler inlet pipe CAC side (3).
Note: Do not rely on the audible click to confirm a secure connection has been made.
6. Check the correct connection of both charge air cooler pipes.
7. The clamp must engage safely over the charge air cooler inlet pipe - CAC side flange (2) at the shown positions (3).
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
