Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (2.0L LHU)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (2.4L LEA) Radiator ReplacementRadiator Replacement (2.0L LHU with MT) Radiator Replacement (with MT)Radiator Replacement (2.0L LHU with AT) Radiator Replacement (with AT).




2. Disconnect the engine coolant fan control module wiring harness plug (1).

3. Unclip all wiring harness retainer clips and remove the wiring harness (2).




4. Remove the engine coolant fan shroud (1).




5. Remove the engine coolant fan control module (1) by unclipping the retainer clip (arrows).

6. Unclip the engine coolant fan control module wiring harness from the fan shroud.

7. Remove the 3 engine coolant fan motor bolts (3).

8. Remove the engine coolant fan motor (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the engine coolant fan motor (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution

2. Install the 3 engine coolant fan motor bolts (3) and tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

3. Clip in the engine coolant fan control module wiring harness.

4. Install the engine coolant fan control module (1) by clipping the retainer clip (arrows).




5. Install the engine coolant fan shroud (1).




6. Install the wiring harness (2) and clip in all retainer clips.

7. Connect the engine coolant fan control module wiring harness plug (1).

8. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (2.4L LEA) Radiator ReplacementRadiator Replacement (2.0L LHU with MT) Radiator Replacement (with MT)Radiator Replacement (2.0L LHU with AT) Radiator Replacement (with AT).
