Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure

1. Loosen the rear part of the front wheelhouse front liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement .

2. Remove front transmission mount to subframe fastener. Refer to Transmission Front Mount Replacement Transmission Front Mount Replacement.

3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Service and Repair.

Caution:
In order to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure, insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support.

4. Support the transmission using a jack.




5. Remove transmission mount fasteners (1).

6. Lower the transmission.

7. Remove transmission mount fasteners (2).

8. Remove the left side transmission mount (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the left side transmission mount (4).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the transmission mount fasteners (2) and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).

3. Lift the transmission.

4. Loosely install the transmission mount fasteners (1) with NEW bolts.

5. Install the front transmission mount to subframe fastener. Refer to Transmission Front Mount Replacement Transmission Front Mount Replacement.

6. Tighten the transmission mount fasteners (1) to 50 Nm (37 lb ft) plus 90-105 degrees.

7. Install the rear part of the front wheelhouse front liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement .

8. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Service and Repair.
