Sunroof Sunshade Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Open the sunshade.
2. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof))Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without Sunroof) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof)).
Note: The sunshade is blocked and cannot roll open.
3. Lock the sunshade.
1. Manually roll the sunshade until the notch (1) is almost vertical to the sunshade.
2. Place a bolt pin (2) approximately 1 mm (0.04 in) thick on the left side in the notch in order to prevent the rolling open of the sunshade spring.
4. Remove the bolts (1) from the left and right side of the rear crossmember.
5. Remove the rear crossmember.
6. Remove the bolts (1) from the left and right side.
7. Remove the sunshade at the rail.
8. Remove sunshade.
Installation Procedure
1. Install sunshade to the vehicle.
Note: Ensure that the sunshade cover is correctly placed into the guide (1)
2. Insert the sunshade.
1. Insert the sunshade into the guide and lock into position.
2. Insert the sunshade in the guide rails until the stop (2).
3. Install the sunshade at the rails.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
4. Install the bolts (1) to the left and right side of the rails.
Tighten the bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
5. Install the rear crossmember.
6. Install the bolts (1) to the left and right side of the crossmember.
Tighten the bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
7. Remove the sunshade pin.
8. Inspect sunshade for proper operation.
9. Install the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof))Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without Sunroof) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof)).
10. Close the sunshade
