11 65 ... - Removing and installing vacuum unit (wastegate valve) for cylinders 4-6 (N54)





Important!
This repair instruction serves exclusively as preliminary work for other repair instructions!
It only describes how to remove and install the vacuum unit (wastegate valve)!
The setting on the vacuum unit (wastegate valve) must not be altered!





The following operations are not dealt with in this repair instruction:
- Information for ordering parts
- Necessary preliminary tasks
- Adjustment and inspection/testing tasks
- Vacuum measurements
- Calibration
These operations are described in the associated repair instructions for the relevant engine and the relevant vehicle.





Important!
Do not adjust and do not release lock nut (1).

Vacuum unit (wastegate valve) is adjusted to factory specifications.

Adjustment and inspection/testing tasks 11 65 580 Replacing Vacuum Unit (Wastegate Valve) will be required if lock nut (1) is adjusted or released.





Detach vacuum hose (2) from vacuum unit (wastegate valve).

Important!
Locking clip (4) cannot be replaced if it is lost.
Bear this in mind and store the locking clip in a safe place.

Release locking clip (4).

Disengage linkage of vacuum unit (wastegate valve).
Unfasten screws (1 and 3).
Tightening torque 11 65 11AZ 11 65 Turbocharger and Control.
Remove vacuum unit (wastegate valve) with bracket.
