Tailgate Latch: Adjustments

51 24 015 - Adjusting rear lid lock for rear lid lower section





Prerequisite:
- Lower rear lid section Adjusting Rear Lid Lower Section correctly adjusted to fit





Unclip trim (1) on left/right.

Installation:
Catches on trim (1) must not be damaged.





Close lower rear lid section (3) and make sure it is correctly engaged in striker (1) on left/right.
Loosen left/right screws (2).
Press on lower rear lid section (3) until mucket (4) of rear lid (3) is slightly compressed.
Tighten down screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 24 3AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Latch, Locks.
Check closing comfort, repeat procedure if necessary.
Observe gap dimensions .

Note:
No grating noises must be heard when the closed rear lid is pressed slightly.
