17 51 000 Removing and installing/replacing charge air cooler (M57T2, N57)





Necessary preliminary work:
^ Remove underbody protection
^ Active steering only: Remove fan cowl.





Important!
Coat sealing rings of snap fasteners with lubricant.
Pressure pipes cannot be fitted without lubricant.

Remove charge air cooler cover.

(Picture shows right-hand bolts).








Unlock snap fasteners (1) and detach charge air hoses.

Remove charge air cooler.

Installation Note:
Charge air hoses must audibly snap into place.

Coat sealing rings of charge air hoses with lubricant.

Pressure pipes cannot be fitted without lubricant.
