Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

11 23 010 - Removing and installing/replacing vibration damper (M57T2)





Special tools required:
- 11 8 182 11 8 180 Holder
- 11 8 183 11 8 180 Holder






Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove fan cowl
- Remove fan Service and Repair
- Remove A/C compressor drive belt
- Remove alternator drive belt





Convert special tool 11 8 183 11 8 180 Holder to transmission (HP 26).
Detach exhaust system bracket (1) from transmission.
Mount special tool 11 8 183 11 8 180 Holder and 11 8 182 11 8 180 Holder on transmission screws (2).
Adjust special tool 11 8 182 11 8 180 Holder at flywheel toothing (3).





Release screws (1).
Remove vibration damper (2).
Tightening torque 11 23 2AZ. Mechanical Specifications

Installation:
Replace screws.
Tighten screws crosswise.
