21 53 501 - Checking/topping up fluid level in hydraulic system (GS7S47BG SMG)





Special tools required:
- 00 2 080 00 2 080 Hand Pump





Important!
Before working on hydraulic system:

- Reduce pressure in hydraulic system by means of Service Functions in DIS Tester (Replacement and Repair)
- Disconnect hydraulic pump relay Service and Repair in electronics box
Do not reconnect relay for entire duration of repair work





Important!
After working on hydraulic system:

- Perform bleeding using DIS Tester, refer to Service Functions in DIS Tester (Replacement and Repair)





Note:
When working on the transmission (fluid check) while installed, it is absolutely essential to adhere to conditions of absolute cleanliness.

Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove centre underbody protection
- Remove reinforcement plate Service and Repair





Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 21 52 11AZ [1][2]Clutch Hydraulic System.

Fill expansion tank with special tool 00 2 080 00 2 080 Hand Pump up to lower edge of filler opening.

Hydraulic fluid for clutch hydraulics.

Important!
Use special tool exclusively for filling hydraulic systems with Pentosin(R).
