Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Left or Right Upper Side Trim Section

51 43 012 - Removing and installing rear left or right side trim panel upper section





Special tools required:
- 00 9 317 00 9 317 Trim Panel Wedge





Open convertible top and convertible top compartment lid.

Rear seat bench shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Release screw (1) on side trim panel upper section (2).

Disengage frame (3) from holder for convertible top frame (4) in direction of arrow.

Installation:
Catch on frame (3) must not be damaged.





Release mucket (1).

Installation:
Make sure mucket (1) is correctly seated.

Release screw (2).

Carefully lever side trim panel upper section (3) with special tool 00 9 317 00 9 317 Trim Panel Wedge upwards out of retainers (4).





Carefully unclip catches (1) upwards with special tool 00 9 317 00 9 317 Trim Panel Wedge.

Feed out side trim panel upper section (2) towards top and remove.

Installation:
Catches (1) and ribs (3) must not be damaged.
