Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

63 25 000 - Removing and installing/replacing supplementary brake light (up to 09/07)





Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection) 61 35 ... Notes on ESD Protection (Electro Static Discharge).





Detach cover for supplementary brake light (1) on both sides in direction of arrow and unclip at points (2).
Feed cover for supplementary brake light (1) in direction of arrow out of moulded roofliner (3) and remove.





Installation Note:
Retaining bar (1), retaining clips (2) and guides (3) must not be damaged.
Make sure supplementary brake light cover (4) is correctly seated on moulded roofliner.





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unlock slide (2) on both sides and remove supplementary brake light (3) in direction of arrow from rear window (4).

Installation Note:
Make sure supplementary brake light (3) is correctly positioned in rear window (4).
