Removing and Replacing Steering Wheel





Removing and installing/replacing steering wheel


NOTE:
Wheel/Chassis alignment is not necessary after the steering wheel has been removed and installed or replaced.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Remove airbag unit. Removing and Installing or Replacing Airbag Unit (Inserted Airbag Unit)


Move steering wheel/wheels to straight-ahead position

Disconnect plug connection(s).





Release screw and remove steering wheel.

Installation:
- Make sure connecting lead(s) is/are correctly laid.



- Tightening Torque, 32 33 1AZ.





Installation:
- Align steering wheel using markings (arrows) to steering column and attach.

Replacement:
- If necessary, modify shift paddles. Service and Repair and Service and Repair
- If necessary, modify multifunction steering wheel switch Service and Repair
- Modify spoke covers. Replacing Spoke Covers For Steering Wheel
