Removing and Installing/Replacing Both Convertible Top Locks (Fully Automatic)

54 34 165 Removing And Installing/Replacing Both Convertible Top Locks (Fully Automatic)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trim on convertible top lock.

WARNING:
- Danger of locking in position!
- Secure convertible top compartment lid and convertible top against lowering.







Detach drive shafts (1) from fasteners.
Left convertible top, additionally:
- Disconnect plug connection (2), detach housing and remove.







Remove fastener (1) from damper base.
Feed out damper base, turn lever (2) slightly towards rear and down.
