Convertible Top Switch: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing/Replacing Switch (Actuator Drive) For Convertible Lid







Open side windows.
Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.
Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.







Lift out guide clip (1) by pulling downwards. Disconnect connecting rod (2) from joint (3) (actuator drive) (unscrew).







Installation:
Correctly engage guide clip (1) (rattling noise).







Unfasten screws, pull actuator drive (1) backwards to remove and disconnect connector.







Installation:
Adjust actuator drive (1) in longitudinal direction.
Check function.
