Valve Body: Service and Repair

REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING VALVE BODY
Remove
- Remove oil sump. Service and Repair
- Remove oil strainer.
- Unscrew cover (1) from valve body.





- Unscrew valve body on case.

CAUTION: Only unscrew bolts with head size (A) of 12 mm.





- Turn bayonet lock (1) counterclockwise.
- Pull off plug (2).





- Unscrew nut (2).





- Pull out plug (1).





- Remove valve body with wire harness.

Installation
- Reinstall valve body with wire harness. Attach valve body to centering pin (1) and overrun valve (2) in selector lever shaft (3).





- Tighten screws to 5 - 6 ftlbs. (7 - 8 Nm).





- Reinstall plug (1). Check O-ring and replacing if necessary.
- Install that flat side on plug faces case.





NOTE: Hold plug receptacle on the flat side with a screwdriver to prevent turning.





- Tighten nut (2) to 9 ftlbs. (12 Nm)





- Connect plug (2) that marks (3) are aligned.





- Reinstall cover (1) and oil sump.
- Refill transmission. Service and Repair
