Explanation: The defect code 03 is stored when the wiper motor is switched off by the anti-blocking function. Only stage 2 still operates as an emergency function. The anti-blocking function is activated when the reset contact constantly switches ground for more than 30 seconds.

Possible cause: Mechanical stiffness of wiper motor, reset contact defective, wiper motor, wiper relay in RM, corresponding wires.

Note: The test "anti-blocking function active" is displayed on the screen when the wiper is currently switched off by the anti-blocking function. To cancel the anti-blocking function, switch off wiper and ignition until text display disappears.

Troubleshooting:

Cancel anti-blocking function!

1. If the wiper operates stiff, repair mechanical fault.

2. If all or individual wiper functions are faulty, continue with defect codes 04 or 05.

3. If the wiper cannot be stopped when the anti-blocking function is cleared, continue with defect code 07.

4. If defect code 02 is also stored, continue with defect code 02.
