Code 300 (Engine Operation Not Possible)

Defect Code 300:

Malfunction: Engine operation not possible:

Prerequisites:

- Starting system OK. (battery charged, Ignition switch...)

- Ground connection from battery to engine or body OK.

- Specified fuel in tank

- Engine OK. mechanically (timing, compression...)


Troubleshooting:

a) Check voltage supply to DME control units in accordance with schematic.

b) Measure Input signals.

- Check engine speed signals from the pulse generators at starting speed

- •D•200

- Check air mass meter signals •D•200.

C) Measure output signals.

- Drive fuel pump relay in accordance with schematics

- Ignition output stages by means of ENGINE TEST test step 09

- Injector valves with •D•300

d) Check fuel pressure

e) Check electronic throttle control for defects
