Wiper Blade: Service and Repair

Windshield Wiper Blades, Replacing

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing

- Bring windshield wiper into service position. Refer to => [ Windshield Wipers, Bringing into Service Position ] Procedures.

- Lift off wiper arm from front windshield.

- Compress clip - arrows 1 -.






- Push wiper blade off wiper arm - arrow 2 -.

- Remove wiper blade.

Installing

There is a risk of damaging the body.

• The driver and passenger side wiper blades are different lengths.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Guide wiper arm tab - 2 - into wiper blade - 1 - - arrow -.






- If the windshield wiper switch is operated or a speed of 6 km/h (4 mph) is exceeded, the wipers leave the "service position".
