Cylinder Head Cover






Cylinder Head Cover

Removing

- Remove the engine cover - arrows -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and move the toothed belt cover to the side.






- Remove ignition coils.

- Remove bolt - arrow -.






- Loosen the hose clamps - 1 - and - 3 - and move the air guide pipe to the side with the hose still connected - 2 -.

- Remove the vacuum line - 1 - from the cylinder head cover.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and then remove the crankcase housing ventilation pressure regulator valve.

- Remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister line - 2 - from the cylinder head cover.






- Remove the bolts - 3 - and then remove the crankcase ventilation tube and heat shield from the cylinder head cover by loosening the hose clamp - 1 -.

- Loosen the cylinder head cover bolts in the following sequence: - 14 to 1 -.






- Remove the bolts and the cylinder head cover.

Installing

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Overview ] Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Overview, => [ Cylinder Head Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ] Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Overview.

Replace the cylinder head seal if it is damaged.

Replace the cylinder head cover bolts when replacing the damaged seal.

The hose supports, air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.

- Tighten cylinder head cover bolts. Refer to => [ Cylinder Head Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ] Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Overview.

- Install the crankcase ventilation line. Refer to => [ Turbocharger Overview ] Turbocharger Overview.

- Tighten the upper toothed belt guard. Refer to => [ Toothed Belt Drive Overview ] Toothed Belt Drive Overview.

- Install ignition coils.
