Removing






On vehicles with Front Passenger's Airbag -Off- Key Switch (E224) , follow safety precautions for working on airbags => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Service Precautions.

- Open the glove compartment cover.

• If glove compartment cover does not open, it can be opened via the emergency release. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment Cover Emergency Release, Activating ] Glove Compartment Cover Emergency Release, Activating.

- If present, remove CD changer.

- Unscrew the screws - arrows - and remove the glove compartment.

All:

- Disconnect the connector on the central connector.

Installation

On vehicles with Front Passenger's Airbag -Off- Key Switch (E224) , follow safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Service Precautions.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the connectors engage audibly.
