- Remove Climatronic Control Module (J255).

- Remove the center console trim: for vehicles with a manual transmission, refer to => [ Center Console Trim, Vehicles with Manual Transmission ] Center Console Trim, Vehicles with Manual Transmission; for vehicles with DSG, refer to => [ Center Console Trim, DSG Transmission ] Center Console Trim, DSG Transmission.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and carefully remove ashtray - 1 - toward rear.

- Disconnect cigarette lighter electrical connector on ashtray.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
