Engine Oil Cooler






Engine Oil Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

Removing

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.

Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure in the system.

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the accessory assembly bracket. Refer to => [ Accessory Assembly Bracket ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bolts - 4 and 5 - and remove the engine oil cooler - 3 - together with the seal - 2 -.






Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Filter and Oil Cooler Overview ] Service and Repair.

Always replace gaskets and seals.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- Install the engine oil cooler - 3 - with a new seal - 2 -.






- Install the accessory assembly bracket. Refer to => [ Accessory Assembly Bracket ] Service and Repair.

- Replace coolant. Refer to => [ Filling: ] Service and Repair.
