Front Belt Latch

Removing






- Remove the front seat:

Standard seat and Sport seat (manual), refer to => [ Manual Standard Front Seat ] Manual Standard Front Seat.

Standard and Sport Power Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Front Seat ] Power Standard Front Seat.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - and free up the wire.

- Remove bolt - 3 - and remove belt latch - 1 -.

Installing






Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Always clean the threaded holes for the self-locking bolts, for example, using a thread tap.

- Replace the seat belt latch bolt.

Belt latch installation position:

- Position the seat belt latch - 2 - so the opening - arrow B - aligns with the tab - arrow A - on the seat frame - 1 -.

Deactivating the front passenger airbag on vehicles with passenger occupant detection system:

- If the passenger occupant detection system seat belt latch is replaced, fill out the system registration sheet with the serial number and bar code label from the new seat belt latch and send it to the importer.

All vehicles:

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way in and are secure.

Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Connect the battery Ground (GND) cable with the ignition turned on.

If the airbag indicator lamp (K75) indicates a fault after installation, the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory must be checked, deleted and checked again using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
