A/C Compressor Regulator Valve (N280), Checking Activation

• Perform an electrical test on the A/C compressor regulator valve as described in Guided Fault Finding for the A/C system using the Vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Fault Finding".

• The vehicle electrical system control module (J519) actuates the A/C compressor regulator valve. The request to activate the A/C compressor regulator valve and the necessary current to regulate compressor output to reach the desired temperature at the evaporator. Sent to the vehicle electrical system control module via the Climatronic control module data bus. The vehicle electrical system control module then activates the A/C compressor regulator valve.

• If a fault in the A/C compressor regulator valve is detected, then it will be stored in the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) DTC memory and in the Climatronic control module. It will be necessary to the check the vehicle electrical system control module DTC memory when reading the Climatronic control module DTC memory. Refer to the Vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Fault Finding".

• The A/C compressor regulator valve actuation is displayed in the vehicle electrical system control module measured values block. Refer to the Vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Fault Finding".
