Ceramic Brake Rotor
The brake rotor ring and the brake rotor cup are attached to each other and must never be separated. Never loosen the threaded connector on the brake rotor cup.
- Vehicle, Lifting
- Remove wheels.
If brake pads are ceramics, wheel must not fall on brake rotor, otherwise it will be irreparably damaged. To install/remove wheel, install two assembly pins from vehicle tool kit in mounts on wheel bolts. The long assembly pin is in the upper position.
- Remove the brake caliper at the screw - 10 -.
• Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.
• Do not loosen the bolts - 1 - to remove the brake caliper.
- Remove the securing bolt - 6 - on the brake rotor while holding the rotor firmly.
- Remove the brake rotor from the wheel hub.
• When removing the brake rotor from the wheel hub, do not tilt the disc.
Installing
- Clean the contact surfaces on the wheel hub and brake rotor. Remove any corrosion.
- Place the brake rotor on the hub.
• When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.
- Install the securing bolt - 6 - and tighten it to 5 Nm.
- Install the brake caliper.
- Mount the wheels.
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
