Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry Lever (80 - 200)

Removing






- Remove the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to => [ Cover ] Cover.

- Remove left and right luggage compartment trim panels..

- Remove the convertible top compartment side trim piece..

- Left: remove the hydraulic pump and set aside with the wires connected. Refer to => [ Hydraulic Pump ] Hydraulic Pump.

- Press the release, disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove it from the bracket.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Cut the cable tie on the hydraulic cylinder from the convertible top compartment cover side.






- Push the expanding pins - 2 - in - direction of arrow - and remove the wiring harness cable channel - 1 - on the hinge.

- Open the clip - 2 - on the hydraulic cylinder with a screwdriver - 1 - and pull it out to the side.






- Remove the clip - 3 - using (80 - 200).

- "Close" the hinge and remove the screws - arrows -.






- Remove the convertible top compartment hinge - 1 -.

- Remove the clip - 2 - and remove the bolt from the hinge from the opposite side.

- Remove the hydraulic cylinder from the mount on the hinge with the wires still connected.

Installation

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Hinge and Hydraulic Cylinder Overview ] Hinge and Hydraulic Cylinder Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Left: install the hydraulic pump. Refer to => [ Hydraulic Pump ] Hydraulic Pump.

- Install the convertible top compartment side trim piece..

- Install the luggage compartment trim panel..

- Install the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to => [ Cover ] Cover.
