Removing






- Remove lock cylinder. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder.

- Remove the rear view camera (R189) - 2 - if applicable.

- Remove the cap nuts - 5 - and - 7 -.

- Remove the cap nuts - 8 - and - 4 - and remove them together with the anti-theft protection.

- Disconnect the connector - 6 - on the rear lid handle unlock switch (E234) - 3 -.

- Squeeze the locking springs - 1 - on the license plate lamp housing together - arrow - and remove the grip piece downward and out of the opening in the body.

Installation

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Rear Lid Lock, Lock Cylinder and Grip Piece Overview ] Service and Repair.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install the rear view camera (R189).

- Install the lock cylinder. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder.
