Sill Panel Trim

• The vehicle must reach room temperature before installing bonded moldings or trim.

• All adhesion surfaces must be free of dust and grease.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Roller (3356)

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

• Hot Air Blower (VAS 1978/14A)

• Adhesive Strip Remover (VAS 6349)

• Cleaning solution (D 009 401 04)

Removing






- Carefully warm the sill panel strip - 1 - with the (VAS 1978/14A).

- Carefully pry off the sill panel - 2 - using the (3409) - arrow -.

Installation






- Use (VAS 6349) to remove any remaining adhesive.

- Clean the adhesive surfaces with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape - 2 -.

- Position the sill panel - 3 - on the sill - 1 - and push the clips into the mounts - arrows -.

- Press the sill panel to the sill using the (3356).

• Resting time approximately 4 hours at room temperature
