Rear Lid Hinge

Removing






- Remove the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid ] Rear Lid.

- Lift the locking spring - 2 - using a small screwdriver - 1 - and disengage the hinge on the gas-filled strut - arrow -. Now remove the gas-filled strut- 3 - from the ball stud.

- Remove the bolts - 2 through 4 -.






- Remove the rear lid hinge - 1 -.

Installation

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Overview ] Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- The bolt - 4 - is actually a fitting bolt and can only be installed into the rear hole in the hinge - 1 -.

- Install the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid ] Rear Lid.
