Checking Gear Oil Level in Transfer Case

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

• Used oil collection and extraction device (V.A.G 1782)

Procedure

• Refer to general repair instructions. Refer to => [ General Repair Information ] Rear Final Drive 0AQ (0ATA,08DA,09DA,0BQA Transmission).

• When checking oil level, vehicle must be on a level surface.

- Place Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) beneath transfer case.





- Remove oil filler plug - 1 - with ratchet 3/8".

• The fluid level must be at the bottom edge of the inspection opening.

- Add transmission oil if necessary; specification.
