Rear Final Drive Axle Oil Level, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

• Used oil collection and extraction device (V.A.G 1782)

• Refer to general repair instructions. Refer to => [ General Repair Information ] Rear Final Drive 0AQ (0ATA,08DA,09DA,0BQA Transmission).

• When checking oil level, vehicle must be on a level surface.

- Position Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782) below rear final drive.

- Remove oil filler bolt - arrow - with a hex key.





The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.

• The fluid level must be at the bottom edge of the inspection opening.

- If necessary, top off axle oil; specification. Refer to => Electronic Parts Catalog.

- Screw in bolt - arrow - with new seal.
