Selector Shaft Seal, Right

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Piece (T10174)

Procedure

- Remove the multifunction transmission range switch. Refer to => [ Multifunction Transmission Range Switch (F125), Removing, Installing and Adjusting ] Service and Repair.

Shaft seal running surfaces on selector shaft and transmission housing must not be damaged.

- Pry out the right selector shaft seal using a scriber or a small screwdriver.

- Coat the outer circumference and the space between the sealing lips - arrow - on the new shaft seal with ATF.






• Installation position: the open side of the seal faces the transmission.

- Install the shaft seal with a (T10174). Do not tilt the seal.

- Multifunction transmission range switch, installing and adjusting. Refer to => [ Multifunction Transmission Range Switch (F125), Removing, Installing and Adjusting ] Service and Repair.
