Tires, Changing, with Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Direct System
Nickel-plated valve insert must be replaced with every tire change.
The metal valve and the tire pressure sensor can be used again.
- Let air out of the tire by removing nickel-plated valve insert.
Dismounting Tire
Roll or press the tire off.
Do not use pressure paddles in hatched area - a -.
When using pressure paddles, first separate tires from side opposite of valve.
- Position mounting head near valve so that so that tire iron can be put on approximately 30° - b - next to tire valve.
- Remove tires.
- Perform a visual inspection for loose or damaged parts. If there are loose threaded connections, replace entire valve unit.
Always replace a damaged tire pressure sensor.
Mounting Tire
Do not use mounting head in valve area.
- Position the tire pressure sensor approximately 180° opposite the mounting head.
- Press tire in bed approximately 90° in front of mounting head - arrow -.
- Mount tire.
- Install new nickel-plated valve insert.
- Fill tires, reinstall plastic cap.
- Balance tires.
