Right Coolant Pipe on Transmission

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6340)

Removing






When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the right front wheel.

- Remove the generator.

- Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the air guide pipe connection.






- Loosen the clamps - arrows - and remove the air guide pipe.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - from the right coolant pipe on the transmission.






- Loosen the hose clamp - 2 -.

- Remove the right engine mount. Refer to => [ Engine Mount ] Engine Mount.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.






- Press the release buttons and remove the secondary air hoses - 1 -.

- Remove the nuts - 2 - and loosen the nut - 5 -.

- Remove the secondary air pump motor (V101) and bracket.

Ignore - 4 -.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - for the ground cable on the right longitudinal member.






Ignore - 1 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the right engine support - 1 -.






- Disconnect the connector - 4 -.






- Remove the nuts - 1 and 3 - and free up the B+ wire on the starter.

Ignore - 2 and 5 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - from the right coolant pipe on the transmission.






- Remove the bolt - 2 - from the ATF pipe.

- Free up the wiring harness and remove the right coolant pipe from the transmission

Ignore - 3 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Overview ] Coolant Pipes Overview.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

To mount the air guide hoses on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.

- Install ATF lines.

- Install the starter.

- Install the right engine support. Refer to => [ Subframe Overview ] Subframe Overview.

- Install the right engine mount. Refer to => [ Engine Mount ] Engine Mount.

- Install the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor (V101). Refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Motor (V101) ] Service and Repair.

- Install the generator.

- Install the right front wheel.

- Fill the coolant system => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.
