Fog Lamps, Adjusting
Checking and Adjusting Conditions
• Tire pressure OK.
• Headlamp lenses must be clean and dry.
• Headlamp lenses must not be damaged.
• Headlamp reflectors and bulbs OK
With Steel Suspension:
• Vehicle load must be created.
Vehicle load on driver's seat in otherwise unloaded vehicle (curb weight).
• One person or 75 kg.
With Air Suspension:
• The compressed air reservoir must be filled. Start the engine and let it run at idle for approximately 2 minutes.
All Vehicles
• Roll the vehicle several yards or move it back and forth several times to seat the springs.
• The parking brake must not be engaged so the vehicle is not under tension.
• Vehicle and headlamp adjusting unit must be on a level surface.
• The headlamp adjusting unit must be aligned to the vehicle. Refer to the Headlamp adjusting unit instructions.
• The inclination dimension is set on the headlamp adjusting unit. Refer to the Headlamp adjusting unit operating instructions.
Procedure
- The vehicles must be standing on a flat surface.
- Turn the headlamp switch to low beam - not Auto.
- Pull the headlamp switch to fog lamp.
Vehicles Without S Line Equipment:
- Remove air intake grille - 1 - in lower part of bumper cover - arrows -.
Vehicles With S Line Equipment:
- Remove the air inlet grille - 1 - in the lower part of the bumper cover in the sequenced shown - arrow A - and - arrow B -.
All Vehicles
- To adjust headlamp range, turn adjusting screw - arrow -.
• Angle dimension: 20 cm (conforms to 2%).
• Side adjustment is not intended.
