Fresh Air Intake Housing

• Depending on the vehicle model, an additional cover may be present near the fresh air intake shaft. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Removing

- Remove plenum chamber cover.

- Remove the Engine Control Module (ECM).

- Remove bracket for ECM in order to access nuts - 1 -.






- Unscrew nuts - 1 - and remove cover grille - A - from intake housing.

- Reach into intake housing from above and loosen retaining clamps - 1 -.






- Remove intake housing from plenum chamber.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

- Check foam seal on intake housing (for seal with plenum chamber rear wall), replace a damaged foam seal if necessary.

- Check the water drain valve - arrow -. Make sure it works correctly and there is no dirt in it.
